Entrepreneurs’ Organization Hawaii, in partnership with Hawaii National Bank, is encouraging student entrepreneurs statewide to apply for its second annual Global Student Entrepreneur Awards competition by the final deadline of Dec. 30.
Entrepreneurs’ Organization Hawaii, in partnership with Hawaii National Bank, is encouraging student entrepreneurs statewide to apply for its second annual Global Student Entrepreneur Awards competition by the final deadline of Dec. 30.
The GSEA is the premier international awards program for student entrepreneurs. It is organized by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a global, peer-to-peer network of business owners.
EO Hawaii, the statewide chapter, will host a qualifier GSEA competition at 3 p.m. Jan. 26, 2017, at the Honolulu Design Center. The event will feature keynote speaker Chris Westfall, author, business coach and U.S. National Elevator Pitch Champion.
Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university and also be primarily responsible for the operation of a for-profit or revenue-generating business for at least six consecutive months.
The top three applicants will receive Microsoft Surface Pro tablet/laptop computers. The winner will be mentored by members of EO Hawaii and receive a trip for two to compete in the national competition in Kansas City, Mo. The winner also will be outfitted in business attire by Saks Fifth Avenue and the Honolulu Time Company, and receive coaching from Dale Carnegie Hawaii, Pam Chambers Consulting and Business Consulting Resources. Honblue will provide marketing collateral services and the Honolulu Club is offering a six-month membership.
